- Are there any special system requirements for installing third-party app updates?
- Yes. Since application updates uses Microsoft Package Manager (winget) to update third-party apps, you must make sure that winget is installed system-wide on your devices, that is for all users on that device. Winget is available with Windows 10 (from version 1709) and Windows 11 only. Also make sure that Windows is activated on your devices.
- Which third-party apps does LogMeIn Resolve support?
- Supported third-party apps are listed at https://winget.run/.
- Can I manually set the time when a device should reboot after installing a Windows update?

No. When an update requires a reboot, the device restarts immediately after the update is installed. You have the following options to avoid an immediate restart:
- You can let remote users postpone the reboot up to three times.
- You can schedule the update to take place outside business hours.
- Why can't I install patches to certain third-party apps?
- The vendor of an application can create multiple installer types. Not all these installers are published to winget, which is the Microsoft package manager that LogMeIn Resolve uses to update applications. If the installer of a third-party app is not published to winget, you won’t be able to update that application.
- Can I ignore patches that I don't want to install?
- No. This feature is not yet available.
- Where can I view the status of the Windows update installation process?
- To view the status of all past Windows updates, go to the View past Windows updates in LogMeIn Resolve. page and select the History tab. This tab displays the status of all previous updates. For more information, see
- How can I see partially failed Windows updates?
- On the History tab of the page, you may see an update marked as Failed. If you see a number underneath, such as " 1/2 OS update completed", it indicates that one out of two Windows updates failed to install. To see which updates failed, hover over the update and select See details on the right.
