Google Workspace integration
LogMeIn Resolve MDM provides Google Workspace integration to automate device user management. The integration automates user list management by synchronizing Google Workspace users to LogMeIn Resolve MDM and ensures that the device user data in LogMeIn Resolve MDM is kept up to date near real time.
Prerequisites
For the integration, you may need to update your browser privacy settings to set up the integration:
- Firefox: check that Custom protection settings are selected and cross-domain cookie support is enabled.
- Safari: disable the Prevent cross-site tracking option.
Note: You need these updated browser settings only when creating the integration on the General tab of the specific integration in LogMeIn Resolve MDM, or for making changes to the settings on the General tab. After you have set up the integration, you can return to using the default browser settings.
Creating the connection to an application can fail when using the incognito mode of the Google Chrome browser.
Integrate for secure and error-free data syncing
The integration frees you from the laborious and error-prone process of copying or entering user data manually. The integration protects the users' identities and credentials. It also eliminates manual data entry errors and ensures the following:
- Synced user names are correct.
- Synced email addresses are correct and thus enrollment emails are delivered to the correct email address.
To integrate correct and up-to-date user data to LogMeIn Resolve MDM, make sure that you have all needed user information in Google Workspace, such as:
- Email address (mandatory for user sync)
- First and last name
- Phone number
User sync options: bulk import or filtered user lists
Through the integration, you can enable automated near real-time user sync, which allows you to do the following:
- Bulk import all Google Workspace users
- Import specific user groups, such as members of a department
After enabling the synchronization, added or updated user data is automatically synced to LogMeIn Resolve MDM.
Note: User synchronization includes user creation and updating, but user deletion is not supported. User data in LogMeIn Resolve MDM is updated only for the users who are originally imported through the integrations.
