Deploy LogMeIn Resolve within Zscaler environment

You can learn from this article how to deploy LogMeIn Resolve within Zscaler environment.

Stage 1: Firewall Control and Filtering Rule

This stage involves setting up the Firewall Control and Filtering Rule, which is linked to the first step in the second stage.
Important: Due to limited IPv6 support in some Zscaler datacenters, it's recommended to disable IPv6 on end-user devices. End-users can disable IPv6 through the Self-Service portal app. IPv6 connectivity issues may vary depending on your specific Zscaler deployment configuration.
  1. Navigate to Policy > Firewall.
  2. Select Add Firewall Filtering Rule.
  3. Assign a name to the rule.
  4. Under Destination IPs, add all the GoTo URLs listed under the Required Domains and Ports on the Allowlist, along with the additional 5 URLs provided below:
    • cdn.console.gotoresolve.com
    • console.gotoresolve.com
    • devices-iot.console.gotoresolve.com
    • devices.console.gotoresolve.com
    • logmein-49b66164-6e2e-475b-a860-2d728211586c.2d7dd.cdn.bitdefender.net:80
Note: Only for end-users utilizing Endpoint protection.
Important: When configuring wildcarded URL rules in the Zscaler interface, be mindful of the required wildcard configuration formats. Some rules necessitate a *.domain.com format, while others require a .domain.com format without the * character. For further clarification, refer to the Zscaler User Guide or contact Zscaler Support.
  5. Select Save and then Activate.

Stage 2: URL Categories

This stage involves accessing Administration, selecting URL Categories, and then adding a URL Category.

  1. Sign in and navigate to Administration > URL Categories.
  2. Select Add URL Category.
  3. Assign a name to the category and add the URLs you provided in Stage 1 Step 4.
  4. Activate this category (your ZScaler team will know how to do this).
  5. Navigate to Policy > SSL Inspection Policy.
  6. Select Add SSL Inspection Rule.
  7. Assign a rule order and name.
  8. Change URL Category to your newly created category.
  9. Under Action, select Do Not Inspect and Bypass Other Policies.
  10. Select Save, then Activate again.

Finally, update the policy on your end clients or wait approximately an hour for it to update automatically.
