Renewing a VPP token in LogMeIn Resolve MDM

Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP) is nowadays part of Apple Business / School Manager. It enables organizations to easily purchase apps for their Apple users in volume.

When first integrating the Apple Business / School Manager with LogMeIn Resolve MDM, the LogMeIn Resolve MDM admin needs to configure a VPP account in LogMeIn Resolve MDM.

After this, the communication token must be renewed annually using the same Apple ID or the integration stops working. This article explains how you can renew the token.

Renewing your Apple VPP token

Navigate to the System > Infrastructure diagram and click the Apple Volume Purchase Program icon. You will then see which Apple ID was used to generate the token and when the token expires. Click Renew to start renewing the token.

Renewing the token in the Apple Business or School Manager

  1. Log in to Apple Business or School Manager using the same Apple ID that was used to generate the previous token.
  2. Click your profile name from the bottom-left corner, and choose Preferences > Payments and Billing > Apps and Books.
  3. Then look for the correct MDM server in the Content Tokens list and download the new token by selecting Download.

Next, go back to LogMeIn Resolve MDM and upload the new token to LogMeIn Resolve MDM to finalize the renewal.
