Set the role of a remote device in LogMeIn Resolve

Device roles allow you to differentiate between servers and workstations. Servers are automatically categorized based on their operating system, while other devices are classified as Workstations.

Here's how you can manually change the role of a remote device:
  1. In the Console, go to the Devices page.
  2. Select the devices where you want to manually set a device role.
    The Manage selected devices side panel opens.
  3. Under Settings > Advanced settings, set the proper Device role.
  4. Select Apply changes.
