Schedule and repeat a Remote Execution job

You can schedule a job up to one year ahead. Additionally, you can make jobs recurring on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

  1. Create a remote execution job by adding any step. For a list of available steps, see Remote Execution - Automation in LogMeIn Resolve, under Related Articles.
  2. Select the devices where you want to run your job.
  3. On the Review and run page, toggle the Schedule this job option.
  4. Under Recurrence, choose how frequently you want to repeat the job:
    • One-time - No recurrence: the job will run only once.
    • Repeat daily: the job will run every day at the same time until the end date. For example, you can schedule the job to run every day at 4 AM starting tomorrow until the end date.
    • Repeat weekly: the job will run at the same time every week until the end date. For example, you can schedule the first run at 4 AM today and select to run the job at 4 AM on Mondays and Fridays until the end date.
Remember: You can select multiple days of the week.

      .
    • Repeat monthly: the job will run at the same time on a given day of the month that you select. For example, you can schedule a job to run at 4 AM on the second Thursday of every month until the end date.
Remember: You can select only one day of the month.

    Note:
    • Jobs run in the timezone of the selected remote device; therefore, in your local time, the same job may run at different times on different devices.
    • When you set recurrence, your job will run at least twice: on the start date and on the end date.
  5. Run your job.

Results: You can see your scheduled jobs on the Job history tab of the Devices > Remote execution page.

Duplicate a scheduled job

Create a copy of a scheduled job and change its details.
  1. Go to the Devices > Remote execution page.
  2. On the Recurring jobs tab, hover over the job that you want to copy.
  3. In the Actions column, select the Duplicate recurring job icon.
  4. Make changes to the job as necessary.
  5. Run your job.

Results: You can see your scheduled jobs on the Job history tab of the Devices > Remote execution page.

Deactivate a scheduled job

You can cancel a scheduled job that you no longer want to run. This also stops currently running jobs.
  1. Go to the Devices > Remote execution page.
  2. On the Recurring jobs tab, hover over the job that you want to cancel.
  3. In the Actions column, select the Deactivate recurring job icon and enter your zero trust key.

Results: Deactivated jobs are displayed on the Job history tab as Completed > Cancelled.

View the list of your recurring jobs

LogMeIn Resolve offers a separate view for your recurring jobs.
  1. Go to the Devices > Remote execution page.
  2. Select the Recurring jobs tab. You see the following information:
    • Name - Name of the job as created.
    • Steps - Either the name of the step or the number of steps included in the job.
    • Status - Active jobs are either still scheduled to run or have completed. Deactivated jobs were deactivated manually.
    • Instances - The number of times the job has run.
    • Start time - The first time the job ran or will run.
    • End time - The last time the job ran or will run.
    • Run by - The user who created the recurring job.
    • Creation date - Date when the job was created.
    • Actions - You can duplicate or deactivate the selected job.
