Create tenants in LogMeIn Resolve

When you provide support to multiple organizations, tenants allow you to control agents' access to groups of devices.

Remember: You must have a LogMeIn ResolveMSP plan to use this feature.
To create a tenant, do the following:
  1. In the Console, go to the Tenants page.
Tip: You can also access your tenants from the Devices page. Select the Tenants tab and then select Manage tenants in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Add new tenant in the top-right.
  3. On the General information page, fill in the following details:
    • Tenant name - Give a meaningful name to your tenant that best identifies the underlying device groups.
    • Points of contact - Type the name, email address, and phone number of your contact person at the organization that you support. Select Add new contact to add multiple contacts.
    • Optionally, add the role of and notes about the contact person.
  4. Select Next.
  5. On the Assign device groups page, select the device groups containing your customer's devices.
  6. Select Next.
  7. On the Review page, make sure your tenant is set up properly and select Create tenant.

Update an existing tenant

  1. In the Console, go to the Tenants page.
  2. Click the name of a tenant to view its details. Alternatively, hover over the tenant that you want to update and select View details on the right.
  3. On the General tab, you can edit the tenant's name, add notes, and add new contacts.
  4. On the Device Groups tab, you can do the following:
    • Assign existing groups to the tenant - Select Assign groups in the top-right and select the groups that you want to add to the tenant. Select Add group to finalize your choice.
    • Create and assign new groups - Click the arrow next to Assign groups and then select Create new group.

Name your new group and select Create. Confirm your signature key.

Remember: Device groups created from the Tenants page are automatically assigned to the tenant.
    • Unassign groups from the tenant - Select device groups that you want to remove from the tenant and select Unassign group on the right. Confirm your choice.
    • Delete groups - Select device groups that you want to delete and select Delete group on the right. Decide whether you want to delete only the group or also the devices within that group.
  5. Optional: On the Domains tab, add email domains that are associated with the selected tenant.
If a ticket is created from an email that is sent from the defined domain, then the ticket will be automatically assigned to the tenant.
Results: Your changes are automatically saved.

Create multiple tenants

You can upload an Excel sheet that contains the details of your tenants. To make sure you have a proper template, download the built-in Excel sheet, update it with your tenants' details, and then import your template to LogMeIn Resolve. Here's how:
  1. In the Console, go to the Tenants page.
  2. Select the arrow next to Add new tenant and then select Download import template.
  3. Open the Excel template and fill in your tenants' details:
    • Tenant name: Tenant's name as displayed in LogMeIn Resolve. This is a required field.
    • Contact name: Name of the contact person at the tenant's organization. This is a required field.
    • Primary contact: Type true when the person is a primary contact at the tenant. Otherwise, type false.
Note: You can mark multiple contacts as "primary" for a tenant, but only the first one in the template will be your primary contact for that specific tenant.
    • Contact role: Role of the contact person at the tenant.
    • Contact email address: Email address of the contact person.
    • Country code: Country code of the contact person's phone number in a +123 format.
    • Contact phone number: Phone number of the contact person.
    • Contact notes: Notes about the contact person that may help you decide when and who to contact. This field cannot exceed 500 characters.
    • Tenant notes: Notes about the tenant. This field cannot exceed 500 characters.
    • Domains: A comma-separated list of domains that the tenant owns.
    Tip:
    • You should replace the details of the sample tenant in the downloaded template.
    • To add another contact to a tenant, add a separate line to the Excel sheet with the same tenant name.
  4. Save your Excel sheet.
  5. In the Console, select the arrow next to Add new tenant and then select Import from template.
  6. Navigate to the Excel sheet that you have just created and select Open and then Upload.
Your tenants are added to LogMeIn Resolve.

Can I assign a device group to multiple tenants?
No. One group can be assigned to one tenant only.
Can I reassign a device group to another tenant?
