Set up the Leave Behind Applet

The Leave Behind Applet streamlines the support process by allowing agents to leave the applet on the end-users' computer after a session ends. This enables quicker and more efficient subsequent support sessions.

Important: The Leave Behind Applet is currently available on Windows only.
Features boosting productivity
  • Easy access from the Start menu: Once installed, the Leave Behind Applet can be launched from the Start menu. By simply entering their PIN code, end-users can swiftly join a session initiated by an agent.
  • Mass deployment support: The applet is also available for mass deployment scenarios. Agents can download the .exe installer from this URL.
  • Intelligent updates: The Leave Behind Applet autonomously searches for available updates. This process is initiated after every system restart and session to ensure the application is always up-to-date.
  1. Select Start remote support session in the Instant remote support card on the Support tab of the Console.

    Result: A Support Key is generated and displayed in a new tab.

    Note:

    Once a Support Key is generated, it remains valid for starting a session for 60 minutes.

  2. Make sure that on the Support Session tab, Keep support applet installed on end-user device is checked.
  3. Invite your end-user to join the session by sending them the Support key. You can either send them a Direct link, or Send Email by selecting the most convenient option of your choice.

Results: The applet will be installed permanently on the end-user's computer so that they can reuse it in subsequent instant remote control sessions.
