Enrolling Windows devices using the Light management type

Windows devices can be enrolled in LogMeIn Resolve MDM using the Light management type, which means that during enrollment, the Miradore client is downloaded for manual installation.

General information about the Light enrollment of Windows devices

When enrolling Windows devices using the Light management type, take the following information into consideration:
  • For Windows 7 and 8 devices, only the Light management type is available.
  • It is recommended to enroll devices running Windows 10 and 11 using the Full management type to benefit from all features LogMeIn Resolve MDM provides for Windows devices.

Supported operating systems

Miradore client for Windows supports the following 64-bit operating systems:
  • Windows 7 SP1 or newer
  • Windows 8.1 or newer
  • Windows 10
  • Windows 11

Enroll the device in LogMeIn Resolve MDM

Before you begin: The Windows device user performing the enrollment needs to have administrator rights to the device.
  1. In LogMeIn Resolve MDM, navigate to Enrollment > Enroll device, then select Windows.
  2. Select Light management, then select Begin enrollment on the Single device enrollment tile.

    Result: The Miradore client installer is automatically downloaded. If the download does not start automatically, click the link in the dialog box.

  3. Run the downloaded file on the device you want to enroll.
    Note: The installer can be used to enroll multiple devices.

Results: The device is enrolled and can be found in the list available on the Management > Devices page.
