Configure home screen apps for the Home screen only configuration type
Using the Home screen & kiosk mode configuration profile, you can add applications to the home screen of the device to make them easily available.
When the configuration profile is active on the device, the device user can exit the home screen temporarily as described in this article.
Home screen settings for the Home screen only configuration type
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Default text color | Choose the color of the app names, time, date, and device ID (if enabled) on the home screen. The text color can be black or white. |
Display device ID | Enabling this setting displays the device's serial number on the home screen. |
Display apps alphabetically | Enabling this setting organizes the apps added to the configuration profile in an alphabetic order on the home screen. If not enabled, apps appear in the order you added them to the Home apps list. |
Home apps | Define the applications that appear on the home screen. Add applications to the field by entering the package name or web app Identifier, then selecting Add. You can remove apps from the list by using the ![]()
