Finding the BitLocker recovery key
BitLocker is an encryption feature for Windows devices. Encryption is a way to protect your system against unauthorized access and keep your data safe and secure.
Scenarios that trigger the BitLocker recovery process
BitLocker recovery is needed when the system notices changes that might put security at risk. For example, this could occur after updating the BIOS/UEFI, swapping out hardware, or trying to start up the device in a way the system doesn’t recognize. These protections are there to keep your encrypted data safe and ensure only the right person can access it using the BitLocker recovery key.
