Use AI screen translation in the Web Technician Console

This article gives guidance to Rescue technicians.

Follow this procedure to enable real-time translations of on-screen text during a support session, and provide assistance to users regardless of their language.

This feature uses AI to assist technicians in providing better remote support by translating on-screen text. When a technician starts a View screen or Remote control session, the system automatically recognizes the language on the end-user’s screen. It scans and collects text from menus, buttons, and other on-screen items and translates it into the language configured for the Technician Console. The translation is displayed as a tooltip when the technician hovers over an item.

  1. Launch a remote control session.
  2. When the connection is established with the end-user, select Desktop viewing or Remote control.
  3. On the toolbar, select Screen translation.

  4. Press and hold the CTRL key on your keyboard.
Attention: The sticky keys feature relays modifier keys to the target machine with specific behaviors. On Windows machines, pressing the right CTRL key on the technician's machine is interpreted as pressing the Windows key on the target machine. Any time the technician presses and releases the right CTRL button during a session, it will trigger the Windows key action on the end-user's side. In contrast, the left CTRL key functions strictly as CTRL and does not trigger the Windows key behavior.
  5. Hover your mouse over any text element on the customer's screen. The translation will appear as a tooltip in the language configured for the agent's Technician Console.
