Device-based Restricted Access Package (DRAP)
DRAP is a security component that restricts Rescue remote support sessions to authorized accounts only.
Overview
The DRAP component allows only remote support sessions from the Rescue account that generated the installer. This ensures endpoint security for both corporate and BYOD devices.
How it works
When a technician initiates a LogMeIn Rescue connection:
- The LogMeIn Rescue applet checks for DRAP installation.
- If installed, DRAP validates the company secret.
- Sessions only proceed if the secret matches the connecting account.
Note: Channel sessions, Ad-hoc sessions, unattended sessions and Calling Card sessions are protected by DRAP.
