About System Information - Dashboard

The System Info Dashboard tab provides a snapshot of the current status of the customer's device.

During an active session, select the Dashboard tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device.

The following view-only information is available.
System Information
Gives details of the customer's Operating System, BIOS, when the device was last booted, and which user is logged in.
CPU Information
Gives details of the make, type and speed of the host's central processing unit.
Memory Information
Provides a complete breakdown of the host's memory size and usage.
Disk Drives
Gives the amount of used and free space on each disk drive on the customer's device.
Note: This piece of information is only available on Windows OS.
Top 5 processes per CPU
Gives the names of the five processes that are using most CPU time, the percentage of CPU time they are using, and their memory usage.
Note: This piece of information is only available on Windows OS.
Events (Last 5 Errors)
Gives the five most recent Events from the Application Event Log and System Event Log that have a status other than Information. This is the same information you can see with Administrative Tools/Event Viewer within Windows.

Scheduled Tasks (Last 5)
Gives a list of the five most recently executed scheduled tasks, as run with Windows Scheduled Tasks feature.

About System Information - Processes

Get information about running processes, similar to Windows Task Manager > Processes.

During an active session, select the Processes tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device.

About System Information - Services

Get information about registered services, similar to Windows Administrative Tools > Services.

During an active session, select the Service tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device.

About System Information - Apps

Get information about installed programs, similar to Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

During an active session, select the Applications tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device.

About System Information - Interactive User

Get details of the account the customer used to log in to his device.

During an active session, select the Applications tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device. This includes information about the user, the group to which the user belongs, and the user's permissions.

About System Information - Drivers

Get information about driver details similar to Windows Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager (when exploring the properties of individual devices).

During an active session, select the Drivers tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device

About System Information - Startup

Get details of applications and processes started when the customer's device starts.

This includes applications and processes started from entries in the registry and those started because they are in a defined ‘startup’ folder (for example, c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs\startup).

During an active session, select the Startup tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device.

About System Information - Event Viewer

Get information about events much like that found in Windows (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer).

During an active session, select the Event Viewer tab System Info module to retrieve data from the customer's device.

Rebooting a Customer's Device

Click the Reboot tab to access options for restarting a customer's device during a remote session.

Note: Only available if this feature is enabled at the Technician Group level in the Administration Center.
Reboot Option Description
Normal reboot and reconnect All applications on the customer’s device undergo a systematic shutdown before the device initiates a reboot. Post-reboot, the client is required to input any hardware or additional passwords to resume the support session. Throughout this process, the session status is displayed as ‘Rebooting’.
Safe reboot and reconnect Use this option to reboot the customer’s computer in safe mode with networking capabilities enabled. Safe mode is a specialized Windows boot option, activated when a critical issue disrupts the standard operation of the Windows system.
Emergency reboot and reconnect This option does not permit applications and other processes to terminate in an orderly fashion, potentially leading to loss of unsaved data. However, Windows will execute a proper shutdown and commit all pending file operations to disk.
CAUTION: Exercise caution while using this option. Post-shutdown, the customer will be required to input any hardware or additional passwords to resume the support session.
Request Windows credentials To facilitate a device reboot when the customer is not physically present, they may be prompted to input their login credentials. This information, securely encrypted, remains solely on the customer's device and is inaccessible.
Restriction: However, if the customer’s device is configured with a BIOS password or any other hardware-related security mechanism, the Unattended Boot Mode cannot function.
