About screen translation
Use the screen translation feature to support customers who speak a different language than the technician.
Important: Screen translation needs to be enabled for the technician in the Administration Center. Technician Console version 7.53.4032 or later is required to run the feature. The feature is available as part of the Translation add-on to your LogMeIn Rescue subscription.

Note: Screen translation is available in the Desktop version of the Technician Console. The service uses the Google Cloud Translation API. For more information about the terms of the service, visit the Google Cloud Platform Terms of Service site.
This feature uses AI to assist technicians in providing better remote support by translating on-screen text. When a technician starts a View screen or Remote control session, the system automatically recognizes the language on the end-user’s screen. It scans and collects text from menus, buttons, and other on-screen items and translates it into the language configured for the Technician Console. The translation is displayed as a tooltip when the technician hovers over an item.
Using the screen translation feature
When supporting customers across different languages, technicians can now use the push-to-translate feature to temporarily translate screen elements in real-time. Think of it like using a magnifying glass - you only look through it when you need to examine something specific, rather than viewing everything through it constantly.
- Launch a remote session.
- When the connection is established with the end-user, select Launch Remote Control Session or Launch Desktop Viewing Session.
- On the toolbar, select Screen translation.

- Hover your mouse over any text element on the customer's screen. The translation will appear as a tooltip in the language configured for the Technician Console of the agent.
