Uninstall Hamachi

Depending on your operating systems, there are a number of options to remove Hamachi.

Follow the instructions to remove Hamachi from your Windows computer:

  1. Go to your Windows Start menu and select Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program.
  2. Select Hamachi and select Uninstall.
  3. Choose if you want to Remove all user settings and Hamachi configurations.
    • If you select this option, all your networks and membership information will be lost.
    • If you leave the option unselected, you will have all your networks on the Hamachi user interface when you reinstall Hamachi.
  4. Select Uninstall.

Uninstalling Hamachi on Mac

Follow the instructions to remove Hamachi from your Mac:

  1. In Finder, go to the Applications folder and double-click HamachiUninstaller.
  2. Choose if you want to Remove all settings and Hamachi configurations.
    • If you select this option, all your networks and membership information will be lost.
    • If you leave the option unselected, you will have all your networks on the Hamachi user interface when you reinstall Hamachi.
  3. Select Yes.
  4. Enter your Mac user password and select OK.

Uninstalling Hamachi on Debian-based Linux

Follow the instructions to remove Hamachi from your Linux computer running Debian-based operating system, such as Ubuntu:

  1. Go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager and enter your root user password.
  2. Search for logmein-hamachi in the Package Manager.
  3. Right-click logmein-hamachi and select Mark for Removal.
  4. Select Apply.
  5. Select Apply again for confirmation.
  6. To remove your Hamachi user and network settings, delete the /var/lib/logmein-hamachi/ folder on your computer.

Uninstalling Hamachi on Red Hat-based Linux

Follow the instructions to remove Hamachi from your Linux computer running Red Hat-based operating system, such as Fedora:

  1. Go to Add/Remove Software and enter your root user password.
  2. Search for logmein-hamachi in the Package Manager.
  3. Clear the checkbox next to logmein-hamachi.
  4. Select Apply.
  5. To remove your Hamachi user and network settings, delete the /var/lib/logmein-hamachi/ folder on your computer.

Uninstalling Hamachi after a tarball installation on Linux

Follow the instructions to remove Hamachi from your Linux computer if you installed in client from a tarball (.tar file):

  1. Open a Linux console.
  2. To remove the Hamachi client, type /opt/logmein-hamachi/uninstall.sh
  3. To remove your Hamachi user settings and networks, delete the /var/lib/logmein-hamachi folder.
