Troubleshooting activating LogMeIn Antivirus activation

Either update the host software or redeploy LogMeIn Antivirus.

Symptom

When installing LogMeIn Antivirus, you see the error message: Unable to activate LogMeIn Antivirus.

Solution one: Update the LogMeIn Control Panel

On the host computer, upgrade to the most recent version of the host software. You can download the host here.

Solution Two: Redeploy the LogMeIn Antivirus configuration

  1. Restart the host PC.
  2. In LogMeIn Central, go to Antivirus > Manage and select the affected host.
  3. Under Actions, select Install LogMeIn Antivirus
  4. Under LogMeIn Antivirus Policy, assign a policy to the host.
LogMeIn Antivirus should activate.

Solution Three: Update the host software

If you have NetDefender firewall installed on your remote hosts, you should update the LogMeIn host software to version 4.1.0.15746 or later. This makes sure that NetDefender does not block the activation of LogMeIn Antivirus.
